Catalonia Hotels & Resorts is a family-run hotel chain founded by the Vallet brothers. After starting in the real estate sector, the company inaugurated its first hotel in 1983, becoming one of the primary hotel chains in this country in just a few years. The company currently has 72 establishments in more than 20 different destinations: 55 hotels in Spain, one in Brussels, one in Berlin, one in Amsterdam, one in Oporto and 12 resorts in the Caribbean (6 in the Dominican Republic and 6 in Mexico) in addition to an urban hotel in the city of Santo Domingo. It’s a leading chain in Spain today with more than 3,000 rooms.
