The Higher Council of Architects Association in Spain (CSCAE) has granted its awards and prizes of recognition jointly for the first time ever. Four honours – the Gold Medal in Architecture, the Spanish Architecture and Town Planning awards and the International Spanish Architecture Awards- which, this year, acknowledge the longevity values that architecture has always been known for in addition to research and innovation for the common good to meet human needs and overcome challenges such as climate change.
The ceremony was held at the Zarzuela Hippodrome to highlight the values of this “benchmark in modern architecture.”
The Gold Medal went to Alberto Campo Baeza (Valladolid, 1947) for his “coherent professional record”. Upon receiving this honour, he gave some emotional thanks by saying: “Architecture is the most beautiful creative work in the world. I really believe this and have said it a number of times out loud and in writing. I’ve dedicated my life and soul to architecture and I’m happy.”
As one of the sponsors of the event, TAU had a lovely evening surrounded by impressive professionals. We firmly believe the values that define architecture are the same ones that define our brand.
Thus, we will continue betting on young professionals in the sector as well as on innovation and architecture as a field that serves society’s general interests.
